Guidepost Montessori at Williamsburg

We have both of our kids attending Guidepost Montessori and we could not be happier with the school. From the teachers and helpers to administration - everyone is not only loving and caring, but also extremely skilled and professional.

Our older son has started at another school in the neighborhood and as soon as we transitioned him to guidepost we quickly noticing significant improvements in his independence, patience, and speech.

It is truly a privilege to be able to provide such quality education for your kids. We feel very lucky.

Note that the school is not cheap BUT they have a very thoughtful financial aid program so if you love the school, I’d give it a shot!

Our little one of 4 years old going on 5 is our world. We want the best for him and work so hard to make that happen. If you are looking for the best school in North Brooklyn, this is it. They are kind, thoughtful, and most of all care deeply about making your child’s experience the best it can be. No ego, no hard stances, just a really great experience. Our son started at 18 months and is coming to senior year at guidepost. I will miss this school and wish it had a k-6. I know the world ahead will be hard but I am grateful for the journey we had.

Our son has attended the Nido program at Guidepost Williamsburg since he turned a year old, and our experience with the teachers and program has been wonderful. He has learned so many things we would have never thought to teach him at home, and his teachers have been endlessly supportive of his curiosity, energy (re: always on the move!), and pace of learning. They encourage him to follow his own interests and instincts, and have served as a great resource for us as parents. We're really happy with the program, and would certainly recommend it to other parents.

My daughter attended Guidepost Montessori’s ECEW program from April-August 2020. I was apprehensive to send my 3 year old to a school at the height of the pandemic but Stephanie and her team was so caring, kind and careful. Having somewhere safe, flexible and reliable to send my daughter for 10 hours a day while I went to work in a hospital was an enormous comfort. I am so grateful for the program. My daughter adjusted quickly to her new school and the Montessori method really resonated with her. She excelled in the mixed age classroom. She looked forward to school and was so proud of all her accomplishments in the classroom. If I hadn’t already committed to a different school for the year, I definitely would have kept her at Guidepost. We miss it!

Guidepost Montessori is such a great place for our daughter - the teachers are fantastic and the communication with the team (even if the context is not the best) is really easy and they are always responsive. Our daughter has learnt some many things, she is developing her self-confidence and so many new skills. We totally recommend Guidepost!

My son goes in the school the past 4 years. It&#39;s a dream of a school with amazing teachers and approach. The space is brand new and always amazingly clean. I highly highly recommended!!!!

We&#39;ve had our son in the Spanish immersion program since he was 2.5, so almost 2 years, and we love it. All of his teachers are warm, thoughtful and loving and we can tell that he is learning and growing because of them. He&#39;s just over four years old and he&#39;s already writing and sounding out words, I have no doubt he&#39;ll be reading by 5.. And on top of that he spends all day learning in Spanish! And while he&#39;s a little shy speaking at home he will just put full sentences sometimes out of the blue and you can tell he understands everything. I also love how beautiful and bright the classrooms are. If your kid is going to be somewhere all day you want it to be in a welcoming and comfortable environment. I wish the school went beyond age 6 because we would definitely keep him here throughout elementary school. The &#34;chaos&#34; and employee turnover mentioned in the other review seems like just a personal sensitivity. It&#39;s all felt pretty stable and reliable to us. Obviously Covid throws everyone curveballs but I think the school does a great job with communication and management in those situations. I don&#39;t know what else you can really expect in these times!
