Village Montessori School of Irvine

I’m so proud of the way Village Montessori school adapted during the COVID crisis.  Each week we received a learning packet from Ms. Cheryl and the head teacher.  The  packets were personalized with my child’s learning log.  Every child at this Montessori has an individualized learning path as each child learns on their own pace.  The school was very helpful with alternative websites and how to prepare for home learning.   I was most impressed when we had ZOOM meetings  on TUESDAY and THURSDAY.  Ms. Ingrid took the children on various cultural adventures from the Pyramids in Egypt to the constellation.  Both my children look forward to seeing where Ms. Ingrid was going to take us next. My head teacher was still available via email; Ms. Angela was amazing.  When I messaged her about an alternative source for math, she gave me a  great website to break up with monotony and it worked.  Ms. Angela made each child feel special when she acknowledged them about their homework, they turned in.  Every ZOOM meeting Ms. Angela  highlighted each child daily by giving them an opportunity to share a book report; even though it was different I know the children enjoyed it. Especially by the questions they asked.
I was most impressed when the school re-opened.  You can see the protocols and the steps  Ms. Lindsey, and the other teachers had taken to keep our children safe.  There is table in the front with sanitizer and I have witnessed each child temperature being taken along with meter being wiped before use.   The school has designated standing posts for children to line up with safe distancing precautions.  Each child must remove their shoes  after entering the school and yes, every child wears their masks and all day.  I was so happy when Ms. Lindsey posted pictures on the door on how the classrooms function. The classrooms have been modified.   I do not think we could ask for more to keep our children safe. The best Montessori school in Irvine. We cannot say enough good things about how great they take care of our children.
