Opus Montessori School

We are so excited to have found this wonderful place for our child to attend. From our first contact with them we were put at ease by their genuine care. The staff was welcoming and the setting so child-centered that she was immediately comfortable.  The facilities are clean and well thought out. The classrooms are kept simple and well-organized with many different stations and areas for the children to learn/play. The hallways are set up like a mini town with something new and interactive on each wall. There is a large carpeted gym area for movement time when going outdoors isn't an option.
I can't claim to know much about the Montessori schooling method, but it is clear that this school stays true to the focus of building independent children and practicing practical life skills.
We look forward to seeing our child grow and learn here!

We are thankful we found Opus Montessori for our 4.5 year old.   The Opus staff is friendly, caring and attentive.  Much thought, love and care seems to be put into programming for the children.   This school has a strong sense of community, making the parents feel like parents instead of customers.   Most importantly, our daughter is delighted, not dysregulated, at the end of the day- can&#39;t ask for more than that.

Opus Montessori is a hidden gem. We started our children here when my son was 4 and my daughter was 2. When we moved to Palatine I searched for the perfect fit for my family and I kept Striking out. I then came across Opus and I met with the director and founder of the school and immediately enrolled because she was everything I was looking for and knew that with her leadership this was the place for my family. After being here the last two years we have nothing but great things to say about the school, teachers, curriculum as well as the other amazing families. The director is also very open to feedback as well as ideas that families may come up with to do for the school. For example, we thought it would be nice to have a fall event at the school as a way for families to meet each other and for us to celebrate. She was super receptive and on board with this idea and the community of families came together along with the entire staff and we had one of the best school parties I have been to.. I mean there were ponies and hay rides.. yes at our school. Can&#39;t get any better then that. I can see that my children have grown academically, socially and emotionally and I can attribute a lot of this to Opus and it&#39;s wonderful teachers that spend countless hours with my children. I also want to note that there is a chicken coop yes with real chickens that the school has and it&#39;s amazing! I literally haven&#39;t bought eggs in a year shoutout to the director for sharing her chickens eggs. The outdoor play space as well as indoor are both very large and lots to do for the kids. If you are looking for a great Montessori Opus is the way to go.
