Marsha Kiste, the director, is very rude and entitled. I will never send my kids here again. Other parents who have experienced the vile comments from Marsha, need to speak out. For all future families, do NOT come here.

Wish I could put a 0 star!! Now that a "church" has taken over and fired all the great staff, I will be changing daycares! My son has been crying in the corner, because another child was picking on him, and the teacher did absolutely nothing! She basically blamed it on my son that he didn't say something to her. NO, that's their job to pay attention to the children and protect them, instead sitting on their lazy tails eating at 4:30 pm. With supplies REQUIRED every month and enrollment fees, it cost around $150 a week. Parents have to provide everything, even paper towels. Ridiculous! DO NOT ENROLL YOUR CHILD HERE... unless you don't care about them!

If you would like a place that meddles into personal family affairs this is the perfect place for you! Majority of the people that work here are great with kids, but the personal experiences you'll have with them will far outweigh any positive experience. I sent three kids here for four years. They do some really great things here, but the drama you will have go through is pure agony. Also it does not matter how much dedication, time, or resources to this school you give; you will deal with personal conflicts between the administration. It simply is not worth it. The problems that can occur are tremendous. After all of the money my family has spent here the administration still had the audacity to demand that we pay for six more months even though I have decided to not take them back to this school. I will not get into the other drama because I would feel bad mentioning the things that have occurred here since they did take care of my children for a long time. I just pray no other family has to go through what mine has due to the administration at this school.

LOVE Montessori School of Tupleo!!!!  My son started here when he was just 18 months, and the things he was taught at such a young age still astonish me!  It is not a daycare...it is a very well thought out school program that teaches a child independence, self confidence, and a sense of community.  Kids are guided by their teachers to learn at their own pace, and are so well cared for by the entire staff.  The building is beautiful!  Each classroom was built with the specific age groups in mind....the countertops, tables, and potties are all height appropriate for each class.  The backyard play area is amazing!!  Huge trees, a beautiful garden the kids planted, and lots of room to explore and learn.  I like that parents are encouraged to visit anytime, and with each room having two way windows, it is easy to come and observe my son whenever I please.  The school is a non profit, so at the end of the day everything is reinvested into the building, classrooms, and teacher training. The other thing that drew me to enroll here, is that they don't discipline the kids by yelling or humiliation, but by redirecting them into a more positive behavior.  It really is a great skill to prepare them for life.  I looked at every school in Tupelo, and if you want the best this is the place!  Thank you MST!!

The Montessori school of Tupelo. Do not let them deceive you. They have a beautiful facility. Yet I found out they were locking my child and other people's children in the cubby room without a teacher in the room with them until they stopped crying. That was how they disciplined the children and that is not how you treat children nor is it part of the Montessori philosophy.I and my husband both witnessed the teachers do this and we have text messages and my child would get hysterical when I talked about the cubby room saying they left her in there with no one. I called the health department and they said that since I was the only one who has called to make a complaint they would have to investigate and that since they didn't see it happening all they could do is make more visits and send some one to help them learn how to discipline the children correctly. On top of this it is expensive to send your child. You waste your money. I love the Montessori philosphy. Just not this school.
