This school is the most AMAZING school in all of Marion county! I had had my son in some of the most prestigious and ”best” schools in all of Marion country….NOT one, and not any teacher or director  held a flame to Mrs. Jill and her staff! From pre-k to 5th grade teachers….they are all AMAZING! I drove an hour one way for 6 years to give my kids the experience they deserved at Montessori House! These teachers and staff give your child a custom education experience! They treat each child as an individual and custom build their education plan to meet each students needs! Mrs. Jamie is the BEST!! She had both my kids for 4 years and let’s just give a shout out to Mrs. Shannon and Ms. Ashley plus Mrs. Amanda!! If you want your children to just go to school and get the norm… then skip here! If you want your children loved like you do as a parent, given the best education possible and treated with the upmost respect….then it’s a no brainer go to Montessori House! My kids are too old now to attend but they still talk about it and want to go back!!! That tells me as a mom I made the best choice EVER! Please I beg you, if you want your child to have the best early elementary experience possible, this is the school
They need to be at!  I can’t say enough about this school and staff. If anyone ever reading this wants a referral call the school and they can give you my number! I’ll talk to you any time! Sad my kids aged out, but I’ll tell you this if they went past 5th grade my kids would still be there!! Thank you Montessori House for the best years of my and my children’s lives! No place will ever be better than you all! We miss you every day and wish you all the best FOREVER!

Absolutely disgusted with the fact we have had our children here for as long as we have. To start, my child has been subjected to physical abuse at the hands of Mrs Jaime. Principals family of course. Sometimes as parents we believe that putting our children in private schooling will be the best for them which it might be however I don't believe this to be true at Montessori House of Ocala. In 2019 on fathers day my children had to be alone because Mrs Jill the principal would not allow mother's to step in to replace father's who couldn't make it.. she responded with another male figure can take their place but we don't want to make the dad's feel awkward having mom's there, the only other male figure my daughter has had just passed away two weeks prior and when told to Jill she held no remorse and her mind remained unchanged. This year in 2022 I said I was coming in the place of their dad and that if Mrs Jill needed to talk about it we can because I'm not letting them feel alone while other kids have their parent there and the fact I wasn't budging on that decision this year because it was wrong for the school to do that. This year an email was sent out after I brought that up stating mom's or whoever can sub in and come for dads. I was happy the problem was finally solved. However, come father's day event time I was told to come in thirty minutes earlier.. not knowing why..but it was for Jill to talk with me and she asked another teacher to get my daughter. I asked why this was happening and Jill stated she wanted to hear from my daughter what she heard in class about if your dad doesn't come you can't have a donut. I told miss Jill when she began to probe my daughter and clearly make her feel uncomfortable that this was unnecessary and that we're running in circles as the situation was handled during an email and also with Mrs crystal over the phone verifying that kids would have donuts either way and also that I could come. She was embarrassing my daughter. While telling Jill that this was unnecessary she became very defensive and argumentative stating if something is said about her teacher she wants to know what. After hearing her response I then brought up the fact of having deep rooted issues with the school and referred back to the incident this year when jaime grabbed my child by her shirt to get her close to her and also grabbed her chin to get her to look into her eyes.. Mrs Jaime stated she was wrong for that and apologized however this issue this morning making her feel uncomfortable as she did for no viable reason than to emotionally stress her out and traumatize her for simply stating what she heard being said in class. My daughter constantly tells me alarming concerns with the lack of effort with the teacher and the "nasty" way they talk to children. My daughter loved Amelia island Montessori but please understand they are all run differently also please be well aware that these teachers do not have to go through regular education and obtain a bachelor's in education like public school teachers they simply just obtain a Montessori certification. Jill is the principal and should set the stage for a thriving and healthy atmosphere for these children but how can she do that when she can't handle nor address the real concerns in the HER SCHOOL, THAT'S HER JOB TO ADDRESS CONCERNS NOT GET DEFENSIVE AND SAY WHY ARE YOUR KIDS HERE YOU CAN GO. I think we all pay enough to get proper care/education for our children not to be subjected to physical abuse or mental stress. No longer will I trust in MONTESSORI HOUSE OF OCALA WE DIDN'T EVEN GET TO DO THE FATHERS DAY EVENT WE IMMEDIATELY LEFT AFTER THE UNWANTED CONFRONTATION. Trust me when I say it will be worth it to drive the extra miles to find another school especially one that values outside play and not making your kid run laps in the heat as their recess time. UPDATE: placement test show Montessori FAILED AT TEACHING since she's been transferred to public- surprised because they used to claim she was above average when clearly we wasted money at Montessori.

Our kids have been attending Montessori since they were babies. Now, they are in kindergarten and 3rd grade. They both are thriving academically and are very outgoing and independent.  We love the school and the teachers. So happy we made the decision to come here.

My oldest has been at MHO since 2017, and my youngest started in 2021. We have seen a lot of growth and change in that time. Mrs Jill has had a few of her assistant teachers go through training and become certified Montessori teachers. I have seen how dedicated all of the teachers are. Miss Ashley is incredible with the 2-3 year olds and a potty training wizard!!  Mrs Yem is so patient and attentive and Mrs Daniella has such a way of getting through to even the most difficult of kids (mine included). Mrs Amanda has been in every class with both of my girls at some point or another and all of the kids, every age, just love her! Mrs Jamie is “the best teacher ever” according to my oldest. She is really passionate about teaching the whole child, not just academically but emotionally and teaching them responsibilities and respect. We did have an issue with bullying last year and I brought my concerns to Mrs Jamie and she addressed them head on and resolved the issues. She has also worked with me to help teach my daughter to advocate and speak up for herself, something that will benefit her the rest of her life.

Absolutely love this school!! Our son has gone here since Kindergarten and has learned so much! He is thriving in all areas. We love how they teach the whole child. They do everything through hands-on learning which makes all the difference.  He has grown so much as a person since starting here 4 years ago.  Our daughter has been here 2 years and is leaving pre-k fluently reading. They already have her adding within 100 also.  She has gone from not wanting to leave my leg to missing school this summer and asking to go back. When she broke her leg, they were beyond accommodating making her still feel like part of the class during outside playtime.  In addition, anytime we have had ANY concerns, they are willing to meet with us and discuss/handle the concerns, and we are the OVERBEARING parents.  Our baby is starting here in August, we are so glad we found this home away from home for our kids to learn while we have to work.
