Montessori Academy of Savannah

My son loves going to school each day. The teachers here are very kind and caring.

Our child attended this "academy" for a brief period and everything about our experience was bad. I would not send my enemies to this school.

My son absolutely loved his school. We have recently moved away and he still asks every day for his favorite teachers and friends that  he made while at Montessori Academy. We recently had a bad experience with another daycare in Savannah and found SMA as a last resort before homeschooling. My child BLOOMED at this academy. He was shy, didn't talk much and was a very picky eater. He now talks to everyone, eats all his food(because that is what the big kids did ) and is so happy. The teachers are absolutely amazing and make your child feel special every day as soon as they walk in the door. The director is also just as amazing and puts so much thought and time into everything at the Academy. I will recommend this place 100% of the time!

Happy, clean place! Both of our kids were at this preschool, our son is still attending. Good teachers, they do a lot of crafts, learn different things, spend time outside. Our kids love it, so do we!

My grandchild attended this school for one school year. Few of the teachers are professionally Montessori-trained. When they needed a new one, they even sent out a letter saying anyone interested, we prefer to train you ourselves, you don't need an Education degree. This makes a joke of Montessori education. The gates to the facility and the doors to all classrooms are unlocked - no security whatsoever. The bathrooms are right inside the door and visitors may see half-naked preschoolers at any moment. My grandchild had a food allergy and when birthdays came along, parents sent in food she wasn't allowed to eat while she was told she could "only have crackers" or similar things. Other parents had no idea that there were things they could have made that she could eat. She came home and cried every time there was a birthday. It was appalling. Jewish children are taught Christian prayers. Equally appalling. Insist on observing before you commit if you're considering this place.
