Wonderful teachers and principal with a Montessori Catholic education. Several extra-curricular, music, performing arts and athletic options. Tuition assistance is offered and unfortunately it may be necessary.

I can&#39;t say enough great things about this school, staff and teachers. The first day my daughter walked into preschool 5 years ago we instantly became a member of the Mercy community. They are all very loving and nurturing to all of the children and take the steps needed to in courage and provide additional help to her when needed. Whenever lessons are difficult or complex they provide the assistance for her to succeed. Although some things in school are still overwhelming to her she knows she has a support system in place to continually provide an encouraging learning environment The school is diverse and provides financial aid to those in need of it, as well as a sliding tuition scale based on income. They provide many extra curricular activities such as acting, string lessons, swim team and Girl Scouts. I couldn&#39;t of asked for a better school to be part of for the next 7 years.

The culture of this school is exceptional. My two youngest children attended. One has an intellectual disability and the other is academically gifted, but their teachers didn&#39;t focus on that stuff. If you haven&#39;t already heard of the &#34;Montessori method&#34; (<a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.montessori.edu&amp;s=b9875d3543c251073b384653ed45b738a4d4cbbe35f2f0b8557ccb34691f86dd" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">montessori.edu</a>) it is implemented here. It&#39;s all about respecting and nurturing a child&#39;s natural interests and activities. Montessori&#39;s &#34;organic&#34; learning environment helped my daughters become independent, self confident women and real problem-solvers. I wish I had learned more about Mercy earlier for their older sibs! I recall an experience as a volunteer teaching students to  knit, made possible by another parent who received a grant to furnish supplies for the school as part of her Master&#39;s studies. (I did not attend college.) Our unlikely pairing led to a lovely friendship. Recently Mercy was awarded the Laudato sí award for their implementation of various strategies to preserve and care for our natural environment, which is most meaningful to me. They offer sliding scale tuition and parent/caregiver education to further help support children -and help our community thrive.  I&#39;ve learned a lot and feel honored to have been a &#34;Mercy Parent&#34;, and my family has benefited tremendously from the connection. -Christine C.
