Guidepost Montessori at Mahwah

My daughter attends the toddler class here. With the pandemic the past couple years, we’ve always kept her at home until this fall. As first time parents we were so nervous about sending her to school and visited over 10 daycares/preschools in the area and so glad we decided on Guidepost! The facilities are clean, teachers are very patient and loving, and the whole school has a familial atmosphere. There is diversity in the kids and staff which we find very important. We were looking for a montessori program near Mahwah that wasn’t too big or too small. Our daughter has formed a great bond with her teacher and we really appreciate the daily feedback, pictures, weekly newsletters, etc that make communication so easy!

I registered the toddler class for an 18months old son last October and this school has an amazing staff, teachers, and curriculums. The school is very clean and overall has a very nice appearance in a convenient location. I highly recommend this Montessori school to anyone looking for daycare!

Working in the mental health field and knowing that the first three years of my children&#39;s lives is the most critical period of brain formation serving as a foundation for their development of cognitive, motor, and socio-emotional skills, I knew that I needed to find something more than a traditional daycare center. After conducting research and learning about Montessori pedagogy and how it takes on a holistic approach to social, emotional, and physical development alongside academic success, I was curious to learn more. I visited Guidepost Montessori at Mahwah and felt really welcomed and at ease by the staff. This was a welcomed and different experience compared to visiting other centers. We enrolled our first daughter and quickly witnessed her growth, curiosity, concentration, sense of self, and independence develop. It was inspiring, so we quickly enrolled our second child. We are so happy that they get to spend time together and see one another during the day. The staff has been so receptive to our family&#39;s needs. They have been very open to feedback and responding quickly. Witnessing how happy both of my girls get when they see their leads and guides in the mornings is heartwarming. Not to mention it leaves me with one less thing to worry about as a working mother since I have no doubt that they are safe and appropriately challenged for continued growth. If I could summarize why our girls are at Guidepost Montessori at Mahwah in one sentence, it would be this; our experience and witnessed growth of our daughters has made my husband a believer in Guidepost Montessori! lol :).
