Keystone Montessori School

Stay away from this school! On March 12, 2020 I paid a cash deposit to Keystone Montessori in the amount of $700 for the upcoming fall school year, September 2020. I signed the agreement of the deposit being non-refundable, granted, and I cite the portion of the agreement: &#34;I understand that the tuition for successive years may not be the same, but WILL BE PROVIDED TO ME PRIOR TO THE TIME I MUST DECIDE WHETHER TO RE-ENROLL MY CHILD.&#39;&#39; I enrolled my child and paid the deposit under the premise the conditions of the enrollment and attendance will the same as the previous year. After several unsuccessful emails and phone calls to school tryingto to reach the director, Vicky Shea, I received an emal from one of the teachers stating that the rules of kids engagemnt are changed and teh school wll not be operating as it did in the previous year. . At that point, I contacted Wilma, the finance manager at Keystone, to refund the $700 deposit. Since the school&#39;s regulations for my son&#39;s attendance have changed, specifically the requirenment of wearing masks for the duration of 6 hrs, I decided to withdraw him from Keystone Montessori. I made several phone calls to school requesting to speak to the director but she was never available (she&#39;s private one day, sick and unavailable the next, etc. totally bogus!!!!) <br>Wilma, the finance person bluntly told me I will NOT receive my deposit back. I told her that my paying a deposit in March was based on the premise of the same schedule and attendance rules as in the previous year, whether of their own or state imposed, it doesn&#39;t matter. Given new regulations, I not only have  right to withdraw my son from their school but receive a deposit back. She virtually screamed at me saying I am NOT getting my deposit back regardless. I asked to speak with the director several times, to no avail. Several phone calls, numerous emails later, I am reaching out to FTC and BBB to help me recover the $700 deposit I paid in March. There&#39;s no director to answer my inquiries, no one to speak with, and they insist on keeping the $700 deposit even though their admission regulations changed (reason I withdrew my child). Their business practices are despicable!

We love the school ! Huge fans of the Montessori education. Shout out to Mrs. Kendra and Mrs. Jamie and Mrs. Annie !
