Kennedy Heights Montessori Center

I am eternally grateful for Kennedy Heights Montessori.  My daughter attended the school from 2013-15, when I was a struggling single mom.  My life was endlessly stressful, difficult, and overwhelming at that time, but KHMC was nothing but a safe and happy haven for my daughter and myself.  The educators and staff were warm, friendly, and wonderful.  We felt so at home at KHMC, and my daughter loved school.  My daughter has always been opinionated and spirited, and sometimes had her difficult moments, but she was always treated with respect and empathy.  I loved the ethos of the school, the diversity of both the population and the curriculum, and the creativity of the instruction.  My daughter attended Kindergarten in her last year at KHMC, and it was an amazing experience that included monthly educational field trips, a weekly additional enrichment class, and lots of individualized attention.  Additionally, the other parents are involved and friendly, and the teachers love the school and have been there for many years.  They also have a really fantastic summer program!  I was just organizing some old files and came across a bunch of paperwork from our time there, and it's rare when paperwork brings up so many happy memories!  My daughter is in 6th grade now, and is thriving.  KHMC is an absolute gem, and with all the worries I had back then, I never worried about my daughter's happiness or her education there.  I recommend this excellent school wholeheartedly.  It will feel like a second home to you!

2019-2020  My son had the most amazing teachers and staff. They were so supportive, caring and has made learning fun and exciting for my son. He started KHMC last year at pre-k and have enjoyed the summer camp during the summer. He love all of his teachers and classmates.This was his last year completely Kindergarten. I’m truly going to miss everyone. I am so and thankful to have made the right decision to have enrolled him. I feel confident knowing he’s well prepared for first grade. 😁 THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!!!!!......KHMC ❤️💜❤️💜

My son started at KHMC at age 2 1/2. It is an excellent alternative to daycare. He has learned so much since he started. They stress independence and learning through doing. His vocabulary is expanding, he is learning great social skills, plus he is learning how to be a good student. I am glad I found KHMC. The teachers and staff are friendly and attentive, the building is great, and I feel good having my son attend there for preschool next year.

If you're looking for a quality montesorri toddler/preschool/kindergarten education, this is it. My youngest child is currently enrolled as kindergartner and I could not be more pleased with the instruction she has received. The school recently moved into their permanent home in a beautiful space in the heart of Kennedy Heights. The new space has generous classroom sizes, a dedicated kindergarten room, a "large muscle" room that allows the children to be active even when the outside elements are not cooperative and an extended day space for all the before and after care needs. The teachers and staff are beyond amazing and I am confident knowing I am leaving my child in capable loving hands. I encourage you to take a closer look, you won't be disappointed!

Wonderful preschool and kindergarten Montessori program! Teachers and staff are dedicated - several have been there for many years. They provide a positive, loving environment for children to experience and learn in. Full day and partial day options. Amazing new facility with plenty of room for kids to move, play and learn!

I&#39;m so grateful that friends and neighbors recommended Kennedy Heights Montessori Center when our oldest was nearing preschool age. The staff is loving and well educated, the community of families is tight knit and diverse, and my children have not only gotten a solid foundation for future academic success-- they&#39;re also learning to be good citizens of the world. KHMC truly follows the philosophy of Maria Montessori and encourages children to talk through their conflicts and share the &#34;peace rose,&#34; for example, rather than forcing an insincere apology, which preschoolers aren&#39;t developmentally ready for. The focus on letting kids have some autonomy also really fires up their curiosity about learning. I can&#39;t imagine a better start for my kids in their educational journey.
