Cornerstone Montessori

What a great team of professionals!!! Cornerstone offers a great learning environment for the kids and we couldn't have been more impressed.  Highly recommended.

My oldest two daughters have been attending Cornerstone since September 2020 and my newborn will begin in August. We have been nothing short of impressed with the care they have received.

My oldest started K this past year and is thriving academically thanks to Ms. Jen and the staff at Cornerstone. They take the time to sit one on one with kids to complete their very own number book and sound book as well as incorporating so many educational experiences for the kids. As a local elementary teacher I have been so impressed and thankful for the teachers and the work they do preparing kids for elementary school.

Miss Dana and the staff at Cornerstone are the most sincere and caring group of people. They have handled all of uncertainties of covid with absolute professionalism and wonderful communication.

Most importantly, my girls LOVE going to Cornerstone.  They truly care for these kids like they are family.  My daughter loves her teachers so much that she tries to coordinate outfits with them and asks me if we can invite them over to our house at least once a week. 🥰

Something that I think speaks volumes about Cornerstone is teacher turnaround, or lack of. Since starting Cornerstone my girls have had the same teachers. You can tell from the moment you walk in that the teachers are passionate about kids, love their job, and that they are appreciated by Miss Dana.

Lastly, I absolutely love that Cornerstone is a small Elkhorn business and that the owner who has put her heart and soul into something she is passionate about is there each and every day caring for her team and the kiddos. You can tell how much pride and love she has for her staff and for the families who attend Cornerstone.  I cannot recommend Cornerstone Montessori enough!

We started our first daughter at Cornerstone Montessori a few months after her 3rd Birthday. Previously she was at an in-home facility with 5 or 6 other children. Since starting Cornerstone she has thrived and is more comfortable talking to other adults and children in new social situations which is new for her. She has been there for 8 months now and her excitement for learning and going everyday continues to grow.

The teaching staff is always giving updates in person, and I love the brightwheel App they use for updates. The team there has been so amazing and accommodating for us through children’s sicknesses and even unexpected family emergencies. We started our second daughter just after her first birthday and we will be sending our third child directly to Cornerstone and not to a direct family member (which is new for us). I feel 100% confident she will be loved on and cared for. I cannot thank the Cornerstone Team enough for all they do!

Beautiful facility, outstanding teachers, excellent communication from staff

This place is a nightmare!!<br>My son attended this daycare from July 2021 until January 2022. They discriminate against color. You cannot question the director of the facility Dana Brannon for anything. She takes great offense to even smallest questions that involves your kid&#39;s safety and takes it out on your kid. They do not follow any covid precautions. There&#39;s been at least 1 covid exposer/ infection reported every week since we have started with them, resulting in keeping your kid home for 14/10 days. Their teachers are not vaccinated and when I asked them to wear mask around kids (infant and toddlers) Dana straight out refused to even consider this. They follow school calendar for holidays plus teacher in service days off, which means your kid is going to be home 5 extra days every month for no reasons. They are always under staffed and they probably just have 1 or 2 certified teachers in the entire facility. And now they have their cleaning staff taking care of kids because they don&#39;t have teachers to do so.<br>They only operate for their profits, they want you to pay full tuition, for mid meals, tumble bus, books, holiday presents for kids and teachers etc. etc. etc. but they don&#39;t provide appropriate care to your kid.<br>This is the most non sense and unreasonable daycare I have ever seen. They will take kids outside in 20&#39;F, when slides, swings are ice cold and surfaces are slippery. My son had several injuries that resulted in bleeding and hurting his gums/teeth while playing outside. Another incident involved a swollen face and bruise below his eye that ended with an ER visit. They don&#39;t stop other kids from hurting your kid, pulling hair or misbehaving. They don&#39;t provide nutritional food, their menus include milk which I have never seen them offering with any meals, plus their meals are never what they send you in the menu. This is a horrible place run by a horrible person.<br>Please don&#39;t risk you child&#39;s safety and waste money here. They are nothing like a Montessori.
