Centennial Montessori School

I was interested in learning about Centennial because they had a Mandarin speaking teacher at the Montessori. I reduced my search of Montessori programs that had at least 1 hour dedicated to Mandarin. My review is based off my observations while touring the Children&#39;s House during their Open House. At the open house they had teachers and other parents available to answer questions. They started off with a &#34;presentation&#34; of what &#34;Montessori&#34; is and showed a video with children explaining why they enjoy it. Afterwards, there was a tour of the facility. There are 2 classrooms in the Children&#39;s House. There is one mandarin speaking teacher in one of the classrooms who only speaks in mandarin to the children. The second classroom had a Spanish speaking teacher who only occasionally spoke the language. The classroom was set up as I would expect. The materials were clean and subjects organized. I was impressed with their outside classroom as well. They had a bunny too. Everything was made into a learning experience but to a child I could seem them excited about all the materials they could &#34;play&#34; with. The tuition is for a 10-month session. The infants only meet 4 times a week and for a half day. For the 3-5 year old they recommend that the child spend all 3 years there including Kindergarten. They also offer an elementary school. The Open House was a good introduction to an AMI Montessori and this school looks very appealing for those looking for that environment. I would recommend going to a classroom observation to help decide if this Montessori school is right for your child.

My husband and I relocated to the Bay Area this past spring. Prior to making the big move we came out for a week to find a rental home and to find a preschool for our 2 and 3 year olds. The staff at Centennial were able to accommodate me on short notice to tour the school. I was greeted warmly and given ample time to ask questions and review the classrooms and yard.  I also toured 7 other Montessori preschools in the area but chose Centennial because it had character.  It wasn&#39;t the generic preschool with the standard play yard.  There is thought put into every little detail of the classroom and the yard.  Its wonderful.   Fast forward 6 months later and my children are very happy to come here everyday.  They are growing as individuals and are becoming more independent each day thanks to the learning that is happening at Centennial.  I cannot imagine sending my children anywhere else!
